Individual Mentoring
I provide short and longer term individual therapy. The first two to four sessions provide an opportunity for you to express your current concerns and for me to get a better understanding of what you are experiencing. Thereafter, we can discuss a therapeutic plan moving forward.
I focus on difficulties related to depression, anxiety, bereavement, managing life transitions such as adjusting to student life or managing relationship changes, coping with physical health problems and adjusting to life affecting medical diagnoses. I also work with people seeking input to facilitate personal development.
I offer therapeutic input that is developmentally appropriate and suited to the specific challenges that you and your child may be facing. I work with children between the ages of 5 to 10 years old. The initial clinical assessment typically takes place between 2 – 4 sessions. We will then discuss a therapeutic plan for you and your child. Parents play an active role in supporting their child through the process.
I work with children who may be experiencing the following challenges: anxiety, separation difficulties, bereavement, behavioral challenges, and adjusting to changes such as coping with the birth of sibling, parents’ divorce or going to a new school.
